Campaign Story

Greetings! My name is Veli Veliev. I am 17 years old and a writer. I am a graduate of Classical Gymnasium No. 160 and currently studying at AZMIU (Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts). Like anyone these days, I find it very hard to live without music. I can listen to almost anything depending on my mood, but mostly I prefer rock, indie, and rap. Unfortunately, I don’t read much, as I find it challenging due to the irresistible urge and sudden inspiration to write something myself. Despite this, I am deeply drawn to the style and philosophy of George Orwell. In just five days, I read his works 1984 and Animal Farm, and I found them absolutely fascinating. I hope to delve into his other works in the future. My favorite quote by Orwell is from 1984: “If you obey the little rules, you can break the big ones.”

My main goal is to become a successful film director. Since filmmaking is not a solo endeavor, I decided to try putting my ideas on paper and have already written two novels, each about 300 pages. I wrote the first novel at 15, and the second, a continuation of the first, at 16. Naturally, I continue and will keep writing books to please my growing audience, though my ultimate dream remains to win a prestigious award for Best Film of the Year.

Dear members of the “Cult Baku” club and any random readers of this brief autobiography, I want to reach out to you. I am confident in my stories and concepts, and I would be immensely grateful for your support.
