Meeting with the O-2 Theatre Troupe

Members of Cult Baku and their guests are invited to attend “They Were Here”, a theatrical performance by Teatr O2, followed by an exclusive meet-and-greet with the actors!

“They Were Here” combines a unique artistic and visual concept, where shadows and light play across the stage, complementing the work of the two remarkable actresses, Olga Georgieva and Ulviya Akhundova, who remain on a special oversized theatrical sofa throughout the show. The sofa amplifies the fragility and vulnerability of the characters, while the floor beneath can feel like lava, water teeming with crocodiles, or the edge of an abyss.

The performance features carefully selected poems by Sasha Chyorny, Nikolai Agnivcev, and Joseph Brodsky. Their verses invite the audience to pause and experience small, vivid moments of life — the drip of water from a tap, the arrival of a carriage, the hum of insects in a jungle, or the silent glide of a crocodile along the Nile. The show also includes a flamenco performance and unexpected visual moments woven into the text, such as a stranger changing her dress before the audience or a Sorcerer confronting boredom beside a modern woman.

After the performance, guests will have the opportunity to meet the actors and discuss the show in an exclusive session with the group.

The evening continues with “Switch On Your Imagination”, a 30-minute actor’s workshop led by director, actor, and teacher Leonid Klets, together with singer and actress Olga Georgieva. Participants will explore basic acting techniques and exercises designed to connect voice, imagination, and physical presence — skills that can be applied both on stage and in everyday life.
