We are delighted to invite you to join us on October 25 for a heartfelt meeting in the studio — An Autumn Kiss in the Studio, featuring the remarkable work of Elena Hagverdiyeva, and the timeless artistic legacy of her husband, the celebrated painter Ujal Hagverdiyev.
During the meeting, guests will have the opportunity to explore a curated selection of Elena Hagverdiyeva’s paintings, delving into her poetic and expressive depictions of culture, memory, and nature. The presentation will also include Ujal Hagverdiyev’s works, offering a chance to revisit his creative world — defined by symbolism, spirituality, and vivid imagination — and to reflect on the dialogue between their artistic visions.
Elena Hagverdiyeva, born in 1963 in Khabarovsk, Russia, has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Azerbaijan since 1997. Her artistry often focuses on women, traditional garments, and compositions that evoke timeless elegance, blending emotion with refined visual storytelling.
Ujal Hagverdiyev (1960-2004) was an influential Azerbaijani painter, graphic artist, and poet. His works explored religious motifs, iconography, Renaissance-inspired portraiture, and dreamlike imagination, extending into murals, ceramics, and textile art. Together, Elena and Ujal created a unique aesthetic dialogue, where memory, emotion, and creativity continually intersected.
This exclusive meeting invites guests to immerse themselves in this shared creative journey, experiencing the resonance of two artistic voices — past and present — as they converse across time through color, form, and expression.
Location: House of the Artists, Inshaatchilar avenue 28
